(I didn't spend much time on the t-shirts, any feedback/improvements would be really welcome)
Master
All the renderings are taken from the master illustrator vector file.
See:
The illustrator format is the industry standard for creating vector graphics. It will be the format that the t-shirt printers are likely to want. This is the master file from which all other renderings should be taken.
Explanitory Info
The logo has been kept professional, timeless, simple, and scalable.
The simplicity and scalability is very important, as it allows the logo to be transferred effortlessly between different media.
The scalability (creating the logo entirely out of vectors) ensures the logo will look equally good on 6 foot high posters, and on 16px icons.
The simplicity ensures that mediums with few colours, or limited ability to mix colours (e.g. t-shirts) are not left with inferiour copies of the logo. For example the t-shirt printing company Kay listed can only print 4 colours on a t-shirt (this logo only uses 3, whereas the previous one used 100s).
Finally the logo presents a professional image, which shows that we care about the details of our product. By using simple shapes and text the logo has a timeless quality where, it won't look outdated in 2 years when the fashions change.

And finally, here are some PNG versions of an early logo design, that I'd didn't feel was quite as good.
